Some would say I’ve been very fortunate to be able to live and travel around this big beautiful world. I would disagree, not out of arrogance, but because I know I’ve worked very hard and taken massive action to see the things I’ve seen and do the things I’ve done.

I was never content to live a limited life of ever diminishing opportunities in the small City I grew up in. I was always looking to broaden my horizons and travel to new and exciting places. I don’t know where this world wonderlust came from, no one in my family have followed the same path before or after me.

I’ve always seen myself as an average guy. Average height, average looks, average education etc etc. The only thing I believe that isn’t average about me is the overwhelming desire to motivate myself, to continually learn, travel and achieve new goals personally and professionally. I’ve never understood why, if an average guy like me could achieve all I have, why wasn’t everyone else!

Giving Back

Pansak - Mae SariangSome people need a helping hand, a mentor or a little push in the right direction and they too, I believe could go out and conquer their own world.

I’ve met many people in my life that even unbeknown to them have inspired, awakened or motivated me to learn or travel down a new road. With that being said, this year I wanted to make a long term commitment to one individual and have spent a lot of time searching for the right opportunity. This was finally presented to me when I discovered The Rustic Pathways Children’s Home.

Through my company, Blend Local Search Marketing, I now sponsor a young man called Pansak. Pansak is a tenth grade student who studies at the regional high school in Mae Sariang, Thailand. He’s a bright young fella with good study habits (English and History) and has a motivated work ethic. (His family are subsistence farmers in northern Thailand) He loves to read and play guitar and dreams of becoming a Flight Attendant.

Team Blend and I are honored to have the opportunity to be a part of the support network in helping Pansak with his education and future employment opportunities (given the wings, you will fly!). We stand behind Rustic Pathways as they strive towards their goal of educating the youth of northern Thailand, to giving them access to education, a healthy lifestyle and nurturing care. The assistance these children get as they grow into young adults will help them with the transition into independent living situations and meaningful, ethical employment.

I will be posting Pansak’s progress in my blog so remember to check back regularly. To discover more about the work of The Rustic Pathways Children’s Home click here or ‘Like’ their Facebook page.
